QB Matthew Sluka will leave UNLV, claiming that "representations" were not upheld.
UNLV beginning quarterback Matthew Sluka said he won't play additional games this season for the undefeated Revolutionaries, refering to "certain portrayals" not being maintained by the program.
Sluka reported his choice in a web-based entertainment post late Tuesday night and added that he will utilize his redshirt this year.
"I focused on UNLV in view of specific portrayals that were made to me, which were not maintained after I selected," Sluka posted on X. "In spite of conversations, obviously these responsibilities wouldn't be satisfied from now on. I hope the program continues to be successful and wish my teammates luck this season."

Sluka didn't detail the explanations for his choice, yet school competitors are currently regularly being paid for their name, picture and resemblance by organizations or outsider associations called cooperatives, which serve a specific school's competitors.
NCAA redshirt rules permit players to hold an extended time of qualification in the event that they play four or less games in a season.
